Surah Al Hajj Ayat 41 Translation Tafseer

Para 17 - اِقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

22.41

اَلَّذِیْنَ اِنْ مَّكَّنّٰهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ اَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ اٰتَوُا الزَّكٰوةَ وَ اَمَرُوْا بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَ نَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِؕ-وَ لِلّٰهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْاُمُوْرِ(41)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Those who, if We grant them authority in the earth,[1] establish the prayer, pay zakat, encourage good, and condemn evil[2]—and the outcome of all matters is for Allah alone.

Commentary

[1]

From the vital duties of a leader is that he should lead a virtuous life wherein he establishes prayer, pays zakat, enjoins good and condemns evil. He should be one who offers prayer, adopts personal virtue, and spreads righteousness in the wider community.

[2]

We learn that just as a leader must observe prayer, pay zakat, and lead a life of piety, it is also his responsibility to establish a department that facilitates communal prayer, zakat and accountability so that public reform is established through true religious observance.
